Dear parents,
I have divided the kiddos into groups based on the group they were learning with for math. This will now be their learning group for all subjects. I have also come up with a schedule for our online meetings using Zoom.
Group 1 - Watermelons #1: Zoom meeting M- Th at 8:30.
Group 2- Watermelons #2: Zoom meeting M-TH at 9:15.
Group 3 - Mangoes:Zoom meeting M-Th at 10:00.
Group 4 - Coconuts: Zoom meeting M-Th at 10:45.
Group 5 - Kiwis: Zoom meeting M-Th at 11:30.
Group 6 - Guavas - Zoom meeting M-Th at 12:30.
Group 7 - Pineapples: Zoom meeting M-Th at 1:15.
Group 8 - MG only: Zoom meeting M-Th at 2:00. Please note that I may have Makayla join the Pineapples for some lessons in other subjects. I will let her know when/if she needs to log in earlier.
On Fridays, I will have 'office hours' from 9:00 to 11:30. This will be a time where students can contact me via Zoom to check in or ask questions. This time will be open to all students and is not mandatory.
Please try and have your student attend all other meetings so that they do not miss a lesson. I am able to record meetings, and believe I will be able to share missed meetings with students, but this is only in case of an emergency. Please let me know ahead of time if your student will not be able to make a scheduled meeting.
Other than the meetings, I will leave your student's work schedule up to you. I am in no way asking that your student do school work for the same amount of hours that they would be in school. I will add all work other than math into Google Classroom, and it will be due each Friday. Math will be in the Envision program and due dates will be shared during our meetings.
I will be in touch with meeting invitations soon. Please let me know if you have any questions. I know this is a difficult time, but we will get through it together.
